AAron Godwin, LEED AP, Founder/Prime Professional Consultant

AAron Godwin is one of the foremost leaders in renewable energy development in the state of Ohio. He is the Founder of the Renaissance Group, a Conserve First LLC Company, an appropriate technology consulting and implementation firm specializing in site assessment, efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, custom engineering, systems approaches and green building applications.

Mr. Godwin is a member of the Ohio Wind Working Group, is the Co-Chair of the ASES Small Wind Division, reports to the Great Lakes Energy Task Force and formerly served on the Board of Directors for Green Energy Ohio and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Mr. Godwin has been involved in some of the state's most cutting edge renewable energy initiatives and wind monitoring data collection systems including the Cleveland Crib Wind Monitoring Project which is the only offshore wind monitoring station in the region. He has been the project manager and general contractor on a number of renewable energy projects across the state of Ohio including those for Cleveland and Lake Metroparks, the City of Cleveland, and Westerly Waste Water Treatment Plant.

AAron has been involved in renewables consulting and new turbine design consulting across the country, and is the Co-Chair of the American Solar Energy Society Small Wind Division. He has also consulted National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) and Department of Energy (DOE). Mr. Godwin holds a degree in Environment and Society, Appropriate Technology, Education and Community from Hampshire College. Mr. Godwin has taught in both public and private institutions. He also has lead two expeditions to the Canadian Arctic and worked extensively in community planning and empowerment issues.



 


Bob Weinberg, BSMET, Partner

Mr. Weinberg has been a technical professional for 35 years in control product engineering and manufacturing. He specialized as the communication liaison between non technical and technical business interests, co-founded Tridelta Industries, Inc., a Lake County company; and directed customer specifications; development engineering; product safety and manufacturing quality efforts in an ISO-9001 appliance industry. Following the sale of Tridelta Industries to Honeywell, he devoted two (2) years learning, understanding and participating in energy efficiency, alternative "green" power research and implementation. He has strong working experience within private commercial, public and non-profit sectors. Mr. Weinberg serves as a technical lead, researcher, technical designer and field communications implementation lead for The Renaissance Group.



 

 

Krystal Naylor, Project Manager

Ms. Naylor brings over ten years of experience working with not-for-profit entities in both organization and fund-raising capacities. In her role as the office manager for Wind Energy Corporation, she organized the efforts behind a major wind turbine development project. In her current roll at TRG, she acts as the institutional memory and organization center, i.e. she keeps the Founder and other team members in line and on task.

 

 



 

Katherine Dykes, Data Specialist

Ms. Dykes is currently working on a PhD in the Engineering Systems Division of MIT with expectations for a career as a research scientist. Her specialties include data analysis, research and experimentation. In addition to working with The Renaissance Group she has also worked with Green Energy Ohio on their Ohio wind assessment programs and EnerNOC.

 


 

John Robb, Lead Installer

Mr. Robb has over thirty years of experience leading crews across trades under strict government safety standards. He has been actively involved in almost all of TGR's tower installations and has served as a Senior Project Manager for The Cleveland Metroparks.



 

Terry Craycraft

Mr. Craycraft is a nationally known power electronics specialist and acts as TRG's technical lead for power systems consultation, review, design and installation. He also leads up our own product development initiatives in these areas. Mr. Craycraft has taught electronics at the college level and has consulted on multiple research and development initiatives.
